I’ve hired thousands of people during my twenty-year career in Human Resources in New York City.
Some positions were considered “plum” jobs with a high salary, good benefits, and a clear career track. Others were temporary, dead-end, hourly positions that barely paid enough to make the commute worthwhile.
There’s one position I never tried to fill: mothers. Their job description would fill a book. With long hours and low pay, applicants would be few, despite the fact that no experience is necessary. But instead of me trying to describe the position, check out this video. Then, if you’re able, call your mother and tell her “thank you” for working the world’s toughest job!
Awesome video about moms!
I saw this when it first came out a few weeks ago; it brought tears to my eyes at the end. 🙂
Me, too, Kathy!
